Sending You Off With My Love

You know I never said and am not good at saying “goodbyes” especially to you, laging “catcha later” lang

I may not know the pain that weakened you, the troubles that burdened your spirit, nor the struggles you’ve managed to conquer…

What I do know is how much you’d be missed, how big the hole you’ve created in everyone whose lives you’ve touched and changed, and how much you’ve been loved…

Nakakalungkot lang isipin that when you were with us, you kept on saying and believing na mas madaming may galit sa’yo, that you’re not loved, that you had to explain and defend your feelings everytime.. I wish kung nasaan ka man ngayon, you can see and feel all our love, from your utot, your tay, your brader, your shoti, your ahia, your primo, your tox, your ungas, your go and all nicks you’ve given each one of us..

While I don’t want you to go and say “goodbye”, I could not bring myself to being selfish…

For now, you go into His arms my dearest and find the peace you’ve been looking for…

Goodbyes are not forever...it just means you're be sorely, dearly missed..

That you and I will always be in love forevermore…

Don’t leave me with just mem’ries

Re-direct

In a sea of words, how do you pick out the flatteries from the compliments, those that matter from the trivial, and the lies from the truths?...

In something that is constant, how do you know yours is different?...

And in something everyone seemed entitled to, how do you know he is yours?...

And Versatile Blogger Award Goes To...

Clarence Castle

It is with great royal pleasure that we receive the Versatile Blogger award from Herr Travis.  Whilst our person is not familiar by which the rules and purpose the award is bestowed, nevertheless, we are humbled by being singled out amongst the number of possible recipients, who we are sure are similarly deserving of this citation.

And in the spirit by which this award is presented, we bestow our royal favour over the following individuals*:

1.      Herr Chestmeister Travis of Is Not Life Grotesque *applause*
2.      Senor Dominic San Miguel of Nobody is Perfect *applause*
3.      Duquesa Ternie of In Search Of *applause*
4.      The lone representative from Norway, Ronron of Cigarette Butts and Senseless Tangenialities *applause*
5.      The next concert queen, JC of The Wimpy Kid *applause*
6.      The trance master, Mugen of Souljacker *applause*
7.      And the last but certainly not the least, tripper Trey of Just for the Trip *applause*

And in the fashion of this recognition, and going against the advice of our ministers and counsellors, we would impart the following information about our royal person:

1.      As usual amongs royalty and nobility, I have had relations with a distant cousin..more of first cousin once removed
2.      While we have a family motto, my personal  motto goes “di lahat ng tit*ng inalay ay hinalay”
3.      All my exes promised me that they would let me ride a horse..a real horse..and not one has come through with their promise..no one even considered a merry-go-round as an alternative
4.      I don’t date…I go out with people..to me the “word” date connotes an expected outcome, I don’t want to pre-empt outcomes nor provide guarantees, I’d rather wait til I know where the waters would take us..
5.      Believe it or not, I am an emotional person and capable of being sweet, caring and loving lolz
6.      I’m actually an introvert
7.      But I love to be the centre of the solar system lolz

I’m fond of the number sevens…so forgive me for those who didn’t made the cut.  It is our royal wish that this award shall continue to be bestowed yearly and have unilaterally declared the last week of April as the award giving period.

Halo-halo

Summer naman, so halo-halong update na lang ;)

Squatters and human rights

As much as I can, I uphold the virtue of charity and I may not be in their shoes, pero I’m not blind naman to the plight of our less fortunate fellowmen.  But letting people squat at properties belonging to other people is just plain wrong.  It’s plain and simple stealing and it’s not good that we tolerate it – or at least the government tolerates them because of the votes it attract come election time.

Besides, tolerating them is also subjecting them to inhumane conditions of living, tapos the CHR would call the demolitions as contravening the human rights of these informal settlers?  Shouldn’t the government insist in demolishing these structures and provide them with decent homes?  And problema kasi sa ating government, un pinaka-basic kasi na services di maibigay ng maayos, hence, people are willing to subject themselves to inhumane living conditions.

And what about human rights? What about the rights of the rightful owners of those lands/properties that were squatted on?  Try kaya nating matulog ng walang paalam sa bahay ng commissioners ng CHR, I wonder how they’d try to get us out of their homes, whether they’d stick with their protocols that upholds the rights of every individual.  I dunno, but in my opinion, in a nation-state, while it is the duty of the state to uphold each persons’ rights, a person gives up his rights when he defies or goes against the ruling or policies of the state.  That while we acknowledge the rights inherent upon us being individuals, these are moderated to ensure that our rights do not impinge on another’s right.

I believe that these informal settlers deserve a better life than what they have at the moment, and that it is the duty of the state to impose a better life for them even if it means demolishing their homes and resettling them.

China and Squatters

I guess uso lang talaga ang squatters.  Though in this case, I dunno sino ba ang squatter, tayo or China.  Obviously, we have the law on our side, so I dunno why we’re dilly-dallying in going to court to defend our right and sovereignty.  Seriously, I’m proud on our attempt on military posturing, but obviously it isn’t doing anything.  We took out our only warship to de-escalate the tension and what does our “friendly” neighbour do? She sent her latest warship to the Shoal.

They claim it on historical grounds, if History Channel is right, then they could also lay claim on the Americas and I wonder what’s keeping them from doing just that.

Seriously, we can fight them on both grounds.  Military posturing and the diplomatic avenues.  I doubt it very much if they would open fire knowing that our allies would certainly, immediately send her own warships to assist us.  And I can already hear the international condemnation the moment the first shot is fired.

So I say keep our navies there – and oh guess this should serve more than a wake-up call for us to modernise our military. And then off to the international courts and UN to say our piece. Won’t get an immediate solution, but certainly shows that we can’t be bullied..

a manlulupig, di ka pasisil”

Professional

Have been on training and I just suddenly missed studying, attending lectures and cramming for exams.. and oh of course meeting new people as classmates.. specially the cute, goodlooking and hot ones hahaha

So I’m off to looking for interesting courses to take and where to have it so that it could fit into my routine.. I certainly have some time available but I certainly won’t adjust my routine around my studies..

Pero I wanna start din taking up fencing lessons

Hayzzz so much to do so little time…

Sa boys na lang kaya ako mag-concentrate..

Then again it’s the same dilemma hahaha

Hacienda Luisita

So as of press time, the Supreme Court has ruled that the Hacienda would be subjected to land distribution.  Now whether this would be implemented ASAP or whether the hacienda management would file for an appeal – then again is there an appeal on the ruling of the Supreme Court? Wala di ba? kaya nga "Supreme" eh

Anyway, since there are a number of farmer-beneficiaries, and not really that big a land to distribute, I’m betting that either this generation or the generation next would find themselves either mortgaging their minute portion of the land to loan sharks, banks or worst the Cojuangcos! and thereby be at the very same place where they were before the land was distributed.

Now don’t think of me as an elitist and preserver of the hacienda system.  I just don’t think that the right systems are in place to ensure that these farmers would be able to hold on to their land for the succeeding generations to come.

Last na

At sa tagal ko before nag-blog ulet.. naman bago na pala ang dashboard ng Blogger hahaha kumusta naman kaya pag nagbalik Twitter ako.. baka mabenta na sya sa ibang company and from a bird, maging cock, at tawagin Cocker na ang site hahaha

My Deal on "Real Steel"

Nota Bene: I think I got 2.50 in my Film Appreciation class in my uni days, and back in highschool, I was the only one who didn’t get the moral of the film “Robinhood” which is “the end does not justify the means” – I was in a Catholic School, hence stealing is frowned upon even in movies.  So, di ako nagmamarunong o nagmamaganda sa aking opinion or critique of the movie “Real Steel”

I really haven’t paid much attention sa promotion ng movie, I didn’t even what it was about.  I’ve just seen one of my friend fret about how good the movie was in one of his FB updates.  So without much prodding, sumama ako when I got a movie invite from my officemate.

Plot Palasak

Yan ang text ko kay myloves when he told me na maganda ata un movie coz pasumandaling pinagpalit ng isa nyang girl-friend and boyfie nito to see the movie.  “pinoy na pinoy ang plot, alam ko na ang ending, mare-realise nya na mahal nya un bata at di pala nya kayang ipamigay after ng kanilang bonding ek ek” yan naman ang statement ko kay officemate sa eksenang nakikipag-deal ang Hugh Jackman sa aampon sa kanyang anak, who he never knew naman talaga in the first place.

Oh and I’m not saying that we pinoy make lousy scriptwriter or that our script is not worthy of Hollywood.  Actually, two foreign movies na ang pinanood ko na di ako natutuwa as opposed to when I saw Remington and Septic Tank.  I’m just saying it’s so pinoy coz the plot is common in pinoy movie and telenovela scripts.

Out of Context

“ano bang halikan yan, out of context”  ang isa pa sa binitawan kong statement nun maghalikan si Hugh at ang kanyang leading lady – who in all honesty eh wala silang chemistry.

At isa pa un. Ewan kung ako lang ba ay bato or what, pero wala akong makitang motivation why they do what they do.

It actually reminds me of Pacquiao’s fight.  And guess what, it was actually reminiscin of his fight where he lost because of the judges’ decision.

And hello, Atom, the boxing robot, was called “the people’s champ”

So abangan natin ang next instalment ng movie, kung san si Atom ay tatakbo as a congressman sa US sa kabila ng kanyang mga kakulangan hahaha

Pagpaparamdam

You see I have this gymmate that I have had my eyes on since I saw him in the locker room – with clothes on ha..

He looks either he’s on his last year of highschool or has just begun his freshman year in college.  Probably around 5’6 or 5’7 tall pero he looks like a young soccer or football player for his school or university.  He exudes that appeal of a well-taken cared for child, un tipong ini-spoil both ni dad and mom.  He has this semi-curly hair na mala-Jericho Rosales.  His entire demeanour is just so cute and loveable, I want him soo bad hahaha

But the one thing that really caught my eyes were his eyes.  He has a defect with his eyes. I dunno parang kirat na parang hindi naman kasi malaki, unless effort nya un to make his eyes appear bigger inspite of it being kirat.  But despite this defect, I actually found his eyes adorable hehehe parang because of it pa nga that’s why he looks like this puppy na nagpapacute, un tipong nakahiga sa paws nya pero sinisilip ka paitaas, ganun ka-cute ang datingan.  I love eyes.  Kahit na pecs at abs ang weakness ko, it’s always with the eyes that I really fall for.

He’s lean, pero di lanky..he has nicely defined pecs, at ang abs, flat na flat walang fats.. yumminess

and I think he knows im interested in him, dahil iniwan nya ang ID nya nakaharap ang name sa may tabi ko.

well, well, well, ano ba ang dapat gawain sa mga ganyang pagpaparamdam..

dahil talo sya lolz

sus ako pa ang madala sa ganun mga diskarte, give me two more days bibigay na din ako sa kanya hahaha
